Xiangyang, China – April 15, 2025
Dongrun Group announced the full operational launch of its new intelligent manufacturing base in Xiangyang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, signaling a transformative step in the company’s journey toward becoming a world-class specialty vehicle manufacturer.
The 40,000 m² facility features:
A “8-minute per vehicle” medium- and heavy-duty chassis assembly line—one of the fastest in China;
The nation’s largest automated electrostatic powder coating line, capable of processing single components up to 14 meters long, 3 meters wide, and 3 meters high in one pass;
An independent Provincial-Level Technical Research Institute dedicated to lightweight materials, thermal insulation, and smart logistics solutions;
Full digital traceability across all 100+ production processes—from steel cutting to final inspection.
“This isn’t just a factory—it’s our answer to global customers who demand quality, speed, and customization,” said Mr. Li Qingshan, Chairman of Dongrun Group, during the inaugural delivery ceremony. “We can now produce what others cannot build—and deliver it faster than anyone expected.”
The plant’s first major output is fulfilling a historic agreement with Dangote Group, Africa’s largest industrial conglomerate, which placed an order for 20,000 cement tank semi-trailers over three years. The first batch of 600 units has already been shipped, with another 400 units scheduled for delivery by August 2025.
What sets Dongrun apart is its ability to customize at scale. For example, trailers bound for Russia feature -50°C cold-resistant insulation and anti-corrosion undercarriages, while African models are reinforced for high-temperature durability and rough terrain resilience.
Backed by over 320 patents and certifications including ISO 9001, CCC, and ECE R111 (for export models), Dongrun’s new facility supports its growing presence in more than 30 countries across Russia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
“The future of commercial vehicle manufacturing is intelligent, green, and globally connected,” Chairman Li added. “With this plant, we’re not just exporting products—we’re exporting Chinese standards of quality and innovation.”
